This was a great day out meeting & networking with some of best tour players in golf. Ian Poulter, ranked 6th &, Paul Casey, ranked 8th best golfers in the world. Watching these tour players entertain the crowd shows their skill and talent which puts them in their ranking positions. We had a chance to have a brief chat with them and also with the Ryder Cup 2010 European Captain Colin Montgomerie.

Other tour players included Rhys Davies Oliver Fisher & Catriona Matthew and one of the worlds finest golf coached David Leadbetter.

Dj Spoony, Vernon Kay, Manuel de los Santos Tim Hennman also made an appearance to show that they also hold a special skill in golf.

It is usually conducted in the Gurdwara or at the home of the Groom-to-be. It involves Ardas, Kirtan , "Sagaan" (Exchange of gifts) and Langar. In the "Sagaan" ceremony, the groom is presented him with a kara, kirpan, Indian sweets, fresh fruits, dried fruits and nuts. The Vasaikhi Cup was held at the pretigious Surrey National Golf Club last week on 16th April 2010. The club is set in an outstanding natural beauty near Caterham. Since opening in April 1999 the course earned a fine reputation as one of the best all year round courses within the M25. Only a year after opening Time Magazine nominated the course as their "Find of the Year" and urged readers to "Play it Now!”. The Sikh Golf Society is holding two other events this year which is open to people from all backgrounds. The society is involved in many projects. One of the recent events raised over £6000 for the Haiti disaster.

When we are not available for the main wedding day we get commissioned to photograph the wedding reception instead. Ashmeet & Rupa decided to have their wedding reception differently. A party on the boat cruising on the Thames was the ideal party. It was fantastic, the atmosphere on the boat was just sublime. We loved it, the couple loved it and all the guests loved it too. Working with Sandeep & Hussain from Shaadi is now becoming a norm. Laaj Lally did the makeup and I can tell you the bride looked so great that whilst having fun taking their photographs by the river caused a traffic jam.

We were honoured when the couple asked us to capture a small yet elegant and fantastic event. Avtar & Harpreet had an awesome sikh wedding at one the most modern Sikh Gurdwaras in East London. The wedding reception was celebrated at the Brewery in Barbican. What was the best thing about this wedding? The timing of the whole day was so well organised that no one ran late which meant everyone enjoyed themselves to the max.

We were accompanied by the usual clan Shaadi Videography and at the Brewery, Lak from Premier Rouge.

This Society has been in existence for a number of years and held several tournaments to raise funds for various charities including supporting The Khalsa School in Slough. Barcelona 2004, was the last Parliament and Event Photographers, East West Photography were there to document a phenomenal event which marked a place for the Sikh faith in the Parliament of the World's Religions. This may sound more politics; in fact, the first Parliament was held in Chicago in 1893.

The Parliament of the World’s Religions brings together the world’s religious and spiritual communities, their leaders and their followers to a gathering where peace, diversity and sustainability are discussed and explored in the context of interreligious understanding and cooperation. CPWR

Raman's family is one of the original East West Photography clients going back to 2003 when we shot her brother's wedding, cousin’s wedding and then her sister's wedding in 2005. She is also the niece of the profound makeup artist Gini Bhogal and one of our most recommended makeup artists.

Indie, well we have known him for a long time, maybe since we shot a wedding where he was the Dj with Kamalogy along time ago. Having shot many of his cousins wedding, namely the most recent one in India/Jhalandar this year, it is time we did something special for both of them. We look forward to the wedding in Autumn this year where we will have a reunion with quite a few of our old clients.

East West Photography were there to capture every special moment along with the boys from the well known Shaadi Videography Sandeep & Hussein. The UK's number one make-up artist Patti Panue along with Suky did their usual with the bride making her look absolutely gourgeous.

Beaumont House was fully decorated and catered by Green Leaf, a company specialising in event management.

Both Talli & Sunny had a fantastic day. The best part was the doli, a ceremony where the bride leaves the parents house and goes to her husband's house forever. Talli only had to cross the road to her new house.

EVENT SUMMARY: The civil ceremony of Ramneek & Manjit took place at Blenheim Palace, home to the 11th Duke of Marlborough and the birth place of Sir Winston Churchill. Asian Wedding Photographers, East West Photography documented the events of the day. Ramneek wore a stunning white dress and looked amazing. Manjit arrived from the Midlands in the "Pawar" Bentley and looked sharp in his suit. It was good to meet the Pawar family again as we had covered Manjit's elder sister Roshani's wedding to Jagbeer last year. Shaadi were providing the Videography for the event with Ragamama provided the sumptuous dinner. Even though the weather played tricks with us, we managed to grab some amazing shots. The last shot at the entry gate being a favourite. Guys can't wait for the big Sikh wedding in June now.

Cathryn had changed her outfits 3 times during the day and she looked stunning throughout. We first met at the Marylebone Town Hall for the Civil Wedding Photography and then at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel for the Hindu Wedding Photography. In the evening reception Bav Patel from Mistique provided the lighting and entertainment with APV providing the video coverage of the day. East West Photography kick started a long journey to Bradford on a late Friday afternoon in July to be up and ready to shoot the Sikh wedding the next day. A fantastic Sikh wedding ceremony at the local Sikh Gurudwara then the reception at the Cedar Court Hotel. The day was long but filled with great fun.

Round two was to drive back down to Luton where both Sanbir & Kunal prepared for the next day when the Hindu wedding ceremony would take place at the Auction House. Now I must tell you that this is my favorite venue just outside London.

Sanbir & Kunal must have been really tired after a marathon of two weddings, but they will remember it forever.
