Asian Wedding photography in Hayes and Surrey for our beautiful bride Monisha & the handsome Groom Paran. The Sikh Wedding took place at the newly built Gurudwara at the Guru Nanak Sikh School where Asian wedding Photographers, East West Photography captured the Sikh Wedding Ceremony. With this being a mix of two different cultures, Paran with his Sri Lankan roots and Monisha from a Sikh background this was surely going to be full of fun & mischief and so it proved. Monisha looked stunning in her punjabi laanga outfit and Paran decided to go all out with his achkan and turban, which Monisha's dad had tied. The Indian ceremony was beatifully recited by the Raagi's and it ended with a grand lunch at the Gurdwara.

The next day we were at Northrook Park for the Sri Lankan Hindu wedding Ceremony. Monisha wore a traditional Sari for the traditional ceremony and then changed to amazing dress for the evening Reception. The Big Fat Indian wedding came to a end with crazy punjabi style party.

The Sikh wedding festivities started with the Satsang at the Sikh Gurudwara in Arusha followed by the Sangeet, Miyaan, Mehndi and Churra at home. Kulraj, the handsome groom arrived from Nairobi, Kenya a day before and a extravagant reception was arranged at the new Mt Meru Hotel, Arusha. The Sikh Wedding took place at the Gurdwara the next day and both Ravneesh & Kulraj looked stunning. East West Photography managed to capture the events all over town with the portrait photography on the outskirts of Arusha, in the coffee estates and the wheat fields. The last few shots were one of the best ones we had captured during the wedding.

Photographing in the snow is challenging as the temperature you are working in is negative. This was an experiment during the late evening. It got dark so perhaps we could have gone out early. This shoot was done using a couple of Nikon flashes with pocket wizards.

Baby portraits are always fantastic. I have to admit Baby R was a bit of a poser because at 8 weeks old I thought he would only get up for a feed. Instead, he was ready for photo shoot. I read this poem from an un known poet that reminded me of this shoot, I star while you smile.

The hindu wedding photography began with engagement photography in the Pink City at the City Palace. The Indian ceremony was at the grand Samode Palace which is located about an hours drive north of Jaipur. Pooja & Rahul look absolutely stunning in the Rajasthani outfits, Rahul had his outfit designed by Ziggi from Birmingham and the Pooja's looks and makeup was done by the renowned artist Laaj Lally who flew in from London.

Having a reception in a marquee is a great idea. How often do you get a blank canvas to work with? Having a reception in an elegant hotel is also great, but you are restricted to what theme you want. Here at Blakes the marquee was set exactly how Sundeep & Jatinder wanted it. Once the sun went down, the vibrant colours created an energy that all those who turned up experienced. This was a great day out meeting & networking with some of best tour players in golf. Ian Poulter, ranked 6th &, Paul Casey, ranked 8th best golfers in the world. Watching these tour players entertain the crowd shows their skill and talent which puts them in their ranking positions. We had a chance to have a brief chat with them and also with the Ryder Cup 2010 European Captain Colin Montgomerie.

Other tour players included Rhys Davies Oliver Fisher & Catriona Matthew and one of the worlds finest golf coached David Leadbetter.

Dj Spoony, Vernon Kay, Manuel de los Santos Tim Hennman also made an appearance to show that they also hold a special skill in golf.

It is usually conducted in the Gurdwara or at the home of the Groom-to-be. It involves Ardas, Kirtan , "Sagaan" (Exchange of gifts) and Langar. In the "Sagaan" ceremony, the groom is presented him with a kara, kirpan, Indian sweets, fresh fruits, dried fruits and nuts. The Vasaikhi Cup was held at the pretigious Surrey National Golf Club last week on 16th April 2010. The club is set in an outstanding natural beauty near Caterham. Since opening in April 1999 the course earned a fine reputation as one of the best all year round courses within the M25. Only a year after opening Time Magazine nominated the course as their "Find of the Year" and urged readers to "Play it Now!”. The Sikh Golf Society is holding two other events this year which is open to people from all backgrounds. The society is involved in many projects. One of the recent events raised over £6000 for the Haiti disaster.

When we are not available for the main wedding day we get commissioned to photograph the wedding reception instead. Ashmeet & Rupa decided to have their wedding reception differently. A party on the boat cruising on the Thames was the ideal party. It was fantastic, the atmosphere on the boat was just sublime. We loved it, the couple loved it and all the guests loved it too. Working with Sandeep & Hussain from Shaadi is now becoming a norm. Laaj Lally did the makeup and I can tell you the bride looked so great that whilst having fun taking their photographs by the river caused a traffic jam.

Indie, well we have known him for a long time, maybe since we shot a wedding where he was the Dj with Kamalogy along time ago. Having shot many of his cousins wedding, namely the most recent one in India/Jhalandar this year, it is time we did something special for both of them. We look forward to the wedding in Autumn this year where we will have a reunion with quite a few of our old clients.

Both Talli & Sunny had a fantastic day. The best part was the doli, a ceremony where the bride leaves the parents house and goes to her husband's house forever. Talli only had to cross the road to her new house.

EVENT SUMMARY: Asian wedding photography in America by Jagdeep, this weekend for Ravijit & Jasdeep. The weather here in Washington DC is HOT. The photo shoot was done in temperatures at average 93F. I have never shoot in heat like this but it was fun and fantastic. I will update more later.

One couple, two weddings 350 miles covered. Sanbir & Kunal wanted something bit different then most of our Indian Wedding couples. Unlike others they decided to have two weddings. You may start to think WHY???

East West Photography kick started a long journey to Bradford on a late Friday afternoon in July to be up and ready to shoot the Sikh wedding the next day. A fantastic Sikh wedding ceremony at the local Sikh Gurudwara then the reception at the Cedar Court Hotel. The day was long but filled with great fun.

Round two was to drive back down to Luton where both Sanbir & Kunal prepared for the next day when the Hindu wedding ceremony would take place at the Auction House. Now I must tell you that this is my favorite venue just outside London.

Sanbir & Kunal must have been really tired after a marathon of two weddings, but they will remember it forever.
