Barcelona 2004, was the last Parliament and Event Photographers, East West Photography were there to document a phenomenal event which marked a place for the Sikh faith in the Parliament of the World's Religions. This may sound more politics; in fact, the first Parliament was held in Chicago in 1893.
The Parliament of the World’s Religions brings together the world’s religious and spiritual communities, their leaders and their followers to a gathering where peace, diversity and sustainability are discussed and explored in the context of interreligious understanding and cooperation. CPWR
Since 1993, a Parliament of the World’s Religions has convened every five years in a major international cities, Chicago 1993, Cape Town 1999, Barcelona 2004. Sponsored by the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions, the 2009 Parliament will take place in Melbourne, Australia. CPWR
The Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha (GNNSJ), will be present at the Parliament in Melbourne. East West Photography will be there as the Press Photographers to cover the event. We will post images and stories on the East West Photography Blog to keep you updated on what we are doing.
